Teacher Burnout

Teacher Burnout is real and the impact of it on our society is a growing concern. Our courses define Teacher Burnout, identify the warning signs associated with it, and introduces skills to help mitigate the problem.
Course participants learn mindfulness and meditation strategies specifically designed to lower stress, increase personal awareness, and identify the emotions and behaviors linked to Teacher Burnout.
Although the techniques presented in this course may be beneficial for students in the classroom, the focus of My Quiet Connection is on Teacher Self-Care. Learning and practicing components of Social Emotional Learning yourself can better equip you to implement these strategies with students during future instruction.

Mindfulness & Meditation

Mindfulness brings about self-acceptance and self-understanding. Often times we bring upon ourselves unwanted emotional and behavioral problems simply by trying to avoid discomfort and throwing ourselves into some other sort of change-seeking activity. Mindfulness is about awareness and acceptance first, and change second.

My Quiet Connection offers individual and group programs that focus on meditation exercises to learn, develop, and refine the skills necessary to practice mindfulness.

Professional Burnout

Burnout is a severe problem affecting professionals in many occupational groups impacting both the individual and the organization. For the individual, burnout can cause physical illness, increased feelings of hopelessness, irritability, impatience, and poor interpersonal relationships with family/coworkers/others. Burnout also has many organizational consequences including absenteeism, increased turnover, and decreased job performance.

Burnout can be assessed for severity and cause, and remedied by individual intervention and sophisticated organizational change programs. By addressing burnout, you can increase personal wellness, and improve satisfaction and quality of work.
